Hear Live Music
Music lovers have a blast catching rockin’ artists and bands. Nearly 10 performances are scheduled, and those who play a fiddle or banjo, should check out the Fiddlers’ Festival. This festival is the state’s official Fiddlers’ Fest and welcomes players of all ages to compete. Awards include best fiddle, bluegrass, banjo and mandolin. It’s the best time to witness fancy fiddlin’ and fast pickin’.
Trick-or-Treat at the Beach
Candy is one of the best things about Halloween. Don’t miss the chance to pick up treat bags or glow sticks at the Rehoboth Bandstand. Take the kids trick-or-treating at two locations — Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach Downtown Merchants — and bring big bags and buckets!
Hunt for Witches
A great activity for the whole family, Sea Witch Hunt brings everyone together, and participants can win prizes. Hunters travel from site to site, look for clues and submit their best guess. The hunt is free and runs four hours.
Have a Pumpkin Good Time
The family pumpkin decorating contest welcomes families to share their favorite movie or book in carved-pumpkin form. Other pumpkin fun includes the Pumpkin Olympics, which has pumpkin pushing, mummy wrapping, spider hunting and eyeball relay events.
Ride Choo Choo Express
Children 8 years and younger love the Choo Choo Express, a train that takes them through Grove Park. The train cars are powered by a riding lawn mower, providing a fun and calm ride for little ones. Older kids and adults should take a hayrides to see the area.
Other scheduled events include the Great Grub Fest, where area restaurants host contests and games paired with delicious food. Also watch more than 20 riders and ropers at the Horse Show on the Beach. Or learn all about the area’s history at Rehoboth Beach Museum.
