The sun, sand and surf are things that make Panama City Beach a coveted destination. However, the one variable that is always unknown is what exactly will Mother Nature have in store once you arrive to this top Florida getaway? With that in mind, here are four things to do when it rains in Panama City Beach.
Top 4 Places to Go When It Rains in Panama City Beach
Game Day at Dave and Buster’s
Dave and Buster’s is a great stop for just about any party. As they say, no matter who’s ready for fun – there’s something for everyone. They have classic games like skee-ball and PAC-man, in addition to new games in their Million Dollar Midway. Once done playing games, grab a table in their lounge or a spot at the bar. They have an impressive line-up of TVs to catch the latest games, too.
Dave and Busters has a lot of action to fill a rainy day with the bonus of a robust menu, so you don’t have to go outside to grab a bite.
Explore Wonder Works
The backstory on WonderWorks gives a clue about this upside-down building. Across the street from Ripley’s Believe It or Not, this attraction gives you up to a half-day of fun activities. Please note: This attraction is probably best suited for toddlers to younger children to younger teens.
WonderWorks breaks down exploration into six different exhibit types: Natural disasters, physical challenge zone, light and sound zone, space discovery, imagination lab, and Far Out Art Gallery. In addition, there is laser tag, a ropes course and black hawk Army helicopter experience.
Four for One at Ripley’s Believe It or Not

There is the Odditorium, which has a collection of interesting exhibits — from shrunken heads, an authentic vampire killing kit and hands-on interactives. The 7-D theater lets you experience the bumps, dips, and shakes of a pirate, gigamon and alien asteroid adventure.
Have you ever wondered how to handle lasers in movie scenes where a spy or secret agent is entering a top secret area? The laser race challenge reproduces that experience and is really fun. Lastly, there is a mirror maze with a labyrinth of mirrors and LED lights.
Accept Escape Manor’s Challenge
Escape games are popping up all over the country and for good reason … they’re fun! These games are live, interactive fun, where players are locked in a room, find clues, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape. Escape Manor has two games: the attic and the asylum. Both of which will provide an exciting way to spend an hour or two.
