Taking a stroll through
Simon’s Pier Park is a must-try experience that one shouldn’t miss in Panama City Beach, Florida. Whether staying the whole day or just a few hours, the whole family will enjoy time at Pier Park.
Pier Park: Where Local and World-renowned Shopping Collide
Searching for brands you know? Pier Park has them. Are you looking for local shops? Pier Park has those, too. While browsing, you’ll notice how thoughtfully the shops weave together. The
combination of stores gives a distinct experience while you take in the Florida sunshine. Some of our favorite local spots are Hy’s Toggery for men and women’s clothing, Irene and Company, Deja Vu, and Pink Narcissus. There are also big-brand favorites like GameStop, Victoria’s Secret and Dillard’s.
Then of course, there are family and kid-related stores to keep them engaged. For example, the Croc store allows kids to deck out their shoes, and Spencer’s has off-the-wall gifts and trendy trinkets.
Pier Park Fun for the Family
Shopping may be high on your list, but the family may beg to differ — and that’s okay! Pier Park has a lot of options to keep the family occupied. If kids are adventurous, they can bounce around on the high-flying bungee, take in a game of laser tag, or spend the day at Dave and Busters. In addition, the movie theater has all of the new releases, so drop the family off and let them take in a show. Ah, two hours kid free!
But the best part about Pier Park for the kids is it’s steps away from beautiful sugar white sand and emerald water. That’s right, the beach is just across the street. How awesome is that?
Eat, Drink and Be Merry
Now, spending a day shopping works up one’s appetite, and Pier Park delivers here too. One of the hardest decisions is where to eat. It’s always 5:00 at Margaritaville, which is right next to the beach. Dine on the patio, people watch and enjoy the sunshine, or sit inside to break from the heat. The Hofbrau Beer Garden serves up Bavarian favorites while welcoming you in an authentic Bavarian environment. Make sure to lift your favorite beer and say “Prost!”
For sports fans, Buffalo Wild Wings is hard to beat with TVs lining the walls, wings and on-table tablets loaded with games for kids. If looking for a lighter meal, Chicken Salad Chick is the place. Other options include The Back Porch, Pompano Joe’s and Auntie Anne’s.
Pier Park has a lot to offer that can be planned or provide a way to fill some time. There are many great restaurants and shops you have to see for yourself! If you’re an adventurer, there’s no wrong place to begin. Lear how to live like a local with these PCB tips.
