Wears Valley Road ranks as one of the top places to drive and measures only 15 miles. This route takes travelers from the heart of Pigeon Forge to Townsend, home to shops and restaurants. During the fall season, Wears Valley comes alive with family-friendly events. The Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival, Oktoberfest, pumpkin picking, hay rides, the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair and the Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers Festival are just some of the activities visitors don’t want to miss.
Snoky Mountain Harvest Festival runs kicks off with OktOberfest, which runs from late September to late October.
