The Wharf hosts many world-renown performers throughout the year. Concerts are typically held at The Wharf Amphitheater, which opened in 2006 and has become a top spot for live music in the South. Past performers include Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney, Widespread Panic, Shinedown, with concerts added nearly every month. Music fans are sure to have a rockin’ good time at this open-air venue.

As one of the top spots for entertainment, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that The Wharf also hosts festivals and kids’ events. Shopaholics can easily spend a day browsing the boutiques and stores here. Whether strolling with the kids or having a girls’ day out, The Wharf’s retail partners offer name brands and specialty items. More than a dozen stores sell clothing, shoes and accessories for the whole family. Guests can also shop for their homes and find the area souvenirs. In addition, three spas also greet guests with pampering and relaxation.

More than a dozen restaurants feature different menus and experiences. Those looking for a sit-down meal can choose from American favorites, Caribbean, sushi, Mexican and more. For a quick break, stop for coffee, ice cream or have a drink with friends at one of the bars.

Ride the Wheel

No visit to The Wharf is complete without riding one of the largest Ferris wheels in the South. Measuring more than 112 feet, the Ferris wheel serves as an affordable and fun way to get tree-top views and relax to warm Gulf breezes. The attraction is open daily until 10 p.m., and kids under 3 ride for free.

Catch the Latest Flicks

Located on site, Carmike Cinemas provides guests a state-of-the-art theater to watch their favorite movies. The theater includes 15 screens, showing new releases and special film events, such as the summer kids’ series. Visitors can also benefit from discount prices on concessions and tickets.

Play a Round

For less than $10 per person, families can play a round of putt-putt. Often a popular activity in beach destinations, the course provides families a way to have friendly competition and test their skills.
