iTrip Vacations Vail-Beaver Creek: How Passion Drives Growth
After nearly 25 years of self-employment in residential construction, Steve Hatley needed a change. That’s when he and his wife, Peggy, decided it was time to leave their home in Atlanta and move to Colorado.
“I became an iTrip Vacations franchisee in 2011, after we moved,” says Hatley, owner and manager of iTrip Vacations Vail-Beaver Creek. “We could not be happier. We knew we would love the mountains during the winter. Now, our greatest pleasure is the mountains during the summer.”
iTrip Vacations Franchise Success
Investing in an iTrip Vacations’ property management franchise enabled the Hatleys to start a lifestyle business where they chose to live. The company gave the Hatleys an opportunity to start and grow their business, while helping vacation rental owners and guests have better experiences.
“iTrip Vacations has been a key part of our love for our new Colorado home,” he says. “We are able to assist our guests with their mountain vacation and provide peace of mind for our homeowner clients.”
The Vail property management company, which also serves nearby Beaver Creek, brings a full-service program to rental owners and guests. Through state-of-the-art systems and proven processes, iTrip helps owners maximize their rental investments, as well as gives guests accurate representations of each rental, a seamless booking process, and custom apps to enhance their experience. Growing a Business Takes a Village
The iTrip Vacations Vail-Beaver Creek team knows they are never alone in their business venture. The company is backed by an industry-leading property management company that delivers the best in vacation rental management and online travel services.
“My greatest success with iTrip is growth,” Hatley says. Not only has my business grown tremendously, but iTrip has experienced remarkable growth nationally.”
iTrip Vacations was started in 2008 for property owners by property owners. The company launched with a small territory in Panama City Beach and has since grown to more than 60 vacation destinations across North America, with more properties and staff added every year. In fact, iTrip Vacations Vail-Beaver Creek alone now employs a core staff of seven industry professionals.
“It is more than adding new properties and clients, but rather experiencing growth in areas of marketing, technology, customer service, client revenue, reputation and expertise,” he says.
Love Where You Live
Opening an iTrip franchise allows entrepreneurs to not only build the business of their dreams, but provides the satisfaction of living and working in a place that best suits their lifestyle. Franchisees also have flexibility in schedules, allowing time for other important things such as family and community service.
“Loving where we live and being engaged in the community is a big part of our success,” Hatley says. “My wife and I are involved in both the resort and community. I volunteer weekly as a Vail Resorts Mountain Host and serve as president of the Vail Rotary Club. Peggy is human resources manager for the Town of Avon. We attend many local events and really enjoy living here.”
