Coachella Will Rock the Valley in April
Tickets for the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have just gone on sale. Known simply as “Coachella,” the open-air music and art extravaganza, one of the largest in the U.S., draws more than 80,000 people each year to the small desert town of Indio in California’s scenic Coachella Valley. This year’s headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, British rockers Blur and The Stone Roses, and the French rock bank Phoenix. The festival will take place on two consecutive weekends in April — April 12-14 and April 19-21 – with the same lineup both weekends.
Rock, indie, hip-hop and electronic music will all be well represented at the legendary festival with performances by both well-known and emerging artists. Appearing on Coachella’s multiple stages to offer music lovers a new lineup each night will be dozens of other bands, including the Lumineers, Postal Service, Sigur Ros, the hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, Of Monsters and Men, Vampire Weekend, Modest Mouse, Earl Sweatshirt, and Jurassic 5, reunited on stage for the first time since 2007.
While music rules at Coachella, it is just half the fun. Eye-popping, often interactive installation art and wild, large-scale sculptures by local and international visual artists shape the festival landscape. Avant-garde performance troupes are also frequent festival visitors. To enhance the enjoyment of your Coachella visit, you’ll also find food courts, a beer garden, shaded areas, free water refill stations (bring your own container), a smoking lounge, restrooms, ATMs, merchandise booths, and more. Wheelchair risers are provided at concert stages and ADA accessibility services are available..
Coachella crowds are legendary and parking is limited, but the festival offers regular shuttle service to nearly Palm Desert vacation rentals and La Quinta vacation rentals. Book Coachella vacation rentals on iTrip.net today and get ready to rock!
