Here at iTrip.net, we are thrilled to bring you one of Mexico’s hottest vacation destinations- Cabo San Lucas.
Known as Mexico’s “Jewel of the Baja Peninsula,” Cabo San Lucas is a location we know all of you have been waiting for us to market. We know, because Mexico itself is a high traffic vacation destination – especially Cabo.
You may be asking yourself, why Cabo? Well, the answer’s easy really.
Cabo San Lucas is a city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. It’s a metropolis of Los Cabos in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. As of the 2005 census, Cabo’s population was 56,8111, which is the largest residential district in the Los Cabos area.
However, Cabo San Lucas is best known for its miles of sandy beaches (including both deserted beaches with quite coves, and booming beaches perfect for people watching), its captivating Baja sun, and its numerous world-class scuba diving and snorkeling locations. According to one Cabo-based website, snorkeling in the beautiful bays of Santa Maria and Chileno “seem to be the very reason snorkeling was invented.”
Cabo San Lucas has also gained a reputation for romance and honeymoon getaways. In fact, weddings in Cabo have become all the rage.
If you’re a golfing fanatic, you’ll be surprised to know that Cabo is quickly becoming golf central, a choice vacation spot for all avid golfers. “The desert mountain terrain, combined with the ocean vistas, and course designers like Tom Weiskopf and Robert Trent Jones II, guarantee a breathtaking experience you won’t soon forget,” says the All About Cabo website.
Sports fishing is boundless in Cabo, incapable of being compared to any other fishing location in the world. In Cabo, fishing enthusiasts will find an abundance of blue, black, and striped marlin, sailfish, dorado, (also known as mahi mahi or dolphin fish) tuna, wahoo, roosterfish, and several varieties of bottom and surf fish. Speaking of surf fish, surf fishing is a unique and alternative style of fishing that only Cabo can provide. Cabo San Lucas is also home to the largest marlin tournament in the world, and in the winter, visitors can see pods of whales congregating in the ocean- they bear their calves in Cabo’s warm waters.
Whatever your vice, whatever your price, Cabo San Lucas has something for everyone. Cabo is extremely family friendly, but it’s also great for couples, friends, and solo travelers. The list of activities are endless, and there’s nothing like relaxing on the gorgeous beaches of Cabo San Lucas while soaking in those warm Baja rays.
Stay tuned to iTrip.net- we’ll be launching our Cabo San Lucas vacation rentals shortly.
