While each of Laguna Beach’s 20 public beaches has its own unique appeal, there are 3 beaches that stand out.
- 1,000 Steps Beach offers spectacular views and is popular with local residents. The 1,000-step stairs leading down to the beach discourage many vacationers from visiting this lovely secluded beach, but the descent is well worth the effort. It’s the climb back up that’s a challenge.
- Table Rock Beach is named for an impressive rock formation that resembles a giant table. Fascinating rock formations and tidal pools make this a wonderful beach to explore, but beware of the dangerous backwash if you go in the water.
- El Moro Beach at Crystal Cove State Park is the perfect place for a swim or to try your hand at boogie boarding. Don’t forget your camera as this quiet secluded beach is one of the most picturesque.
